Funding applications: getting a yes
Securing funding for your research involves a big investment in time and energy. And with more people vying for smaller pots of money, it’s more important than ever that your funding application stands out for all the right reasons.
This workshop is an opportunity for you to review and maybe rethink your approach to writing applications. What parts of the application do you give more attention to than others? What aspects feel like a struggle and why? You will analyse how writing for applications differs from writing for journals and learn some techniques for ensuring both content and structure are appropriate. Explore the ways in which you can make your applications compelling – including developing a strong start – and ways in which you can elevate your applications from good to great.
